Born in 1960 in Rome, qualified at the Technicum Horticole de Lullier in Geneva Switzerland. Since 1990 Niccolò Grassi has worked as a landscape gardener for prestigious clients both in Italy and abroad. Villas in the region of Venice and Friuli; in Tuscany, Fiesole, Forte dei Marmi, Cetona, Orvieto, the Argentario coast and Maremma as well as Ischia, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Porto Cervo; projects for gardens in Modena and Reggio Emilia, several terraces in Milan, Rome, Florence and the garden of the restaurant "Caffè Arti & Mestieri" in Reggio Emilia.
Currently he is working for the Emilio Pucci Foundation .on a large, landscape project for the re-qualification of parkland in the Granaiolo estate near Florence. For many years Max Mara commission the planning of their open spaces in prestigious boutiques: the terrace and courtyard of their concept store in Corso Vittorio Emanuele Milan, the vertical garden in Avenue Montaigne Paris, a courtyard transformed into greenhouse in Reggio Emilia, in addition to the stores of Mestre, Lisbon and Antwerp in Belgium. For Royal Botania, one of the leading companies of outdoor furniture, he designs the booth at “Salone del Mobile” ,the Milan international furniture fair.
In the hotel context he collaborates with luxury chains in Florence and Turin for the creation of new gardens or the redevelopment of open spaces, the design of roof gardens and terraces of Italian historical palaces. With the activity of interior design he has directed projects of residences- both metropolitan and of the countryside – and he is supervising the new interior decorations of the Hotel kaerntnerhof, in the historical center of Vienna. His works are published on the most important international magazines.
