"The space is divided into zones by an encircling black curtain made of carbon fibres, specially developed for this presentation, enabling light, transparent, flowing and at the same time homely showcasing. The mysterious material itself immediately arouses the public's curiosity." Ippolito Fleitz

Here follows the interview that Ippolito Fleitz, designer of Walter Knoll stands, kindly granted us after the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan:

"The basic interior structure of the fair stand is a meandering sequence of various rooms scenarios. The space is divided into zones by an encircling black curtain made of carbon fibres, specially developed for this presentation, enabling light, transparent, flowing and at the same time homely showcasing. The mysterious material itself immediately arouses the public's curiosity. If the visitor stands at a right angle to the folds of the curtain, the latter seems almost completely transparent; viewed from other angles it virtually entirely conceals what is behind it. The visitors' interest is aroused from the outside too - with shadows the curtain throws in different directions."
